About our panelists:
Jacqueline N. Goralczyk, ESQ.,LL.M., CIPP/US, CIPM - Jacki is a partner and founding member of DeAngelus Goralczyk, PLLC. She devotes her practice to helping clients navigate complex data privacy and cybersecurity regulatory regimes in a creative and effective manner. Jacki counsels clients on a wide variety of regulatory requirements, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”), the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), New York's SHIELD Act, NYS DFS 500, Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), and the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) as well as new and emerging state and federal privacy regulations.
Jacki received her Juris Doctor from the Albany School of Union University and began exploring her keen interest in data privacy and cybersecurity and its relation to the financial services, real estate, and title industries. Jacki’s passion ultimately led her to teach data privacy and cyber security law at Albany Law School after receiving her Masters of Legal Letters (LLM) in Cyber Security and Data Privacy. She was the first graduate of the program from Albany Law. Jacki is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (“CIPP/US”) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (“CIPM”), as certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Aleks Pavlinik is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Stored Technology Solutions, Inc. (StoredTech), a managed service provider and IT solutions company. His career in the IT industry spans over two decades. His expertise lies in improving organizational security measures, and he leads the company's compliance initiatives via SOC 2 Type 2 audits. He has spearheaded the adoption AI to drive business innovation and efficiency. He emphasizes the importance of AI literacy across all levels of an organization and advocates for continuous learning and adaptation in the face of AI’s rapid evolution.
