The Lodge at Loon Lake, located in Chestertown, New York, has a storied history that begins with its construction in 1956. Originally named “The Viking,” this charming establishment was built on the site of a former farm, where a notable big red barn once stood. a new era begins as the Johnson family takes over the motel. With this change in ownership, the name of the property was once again altered, this time to “The Lodge at Loon Lake.”
