    Job Overview:
    It is expected to have knowledge of a variety of fiscal functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management and generally accepted accounting principles.

    Duties:

    • Vendors point of contact for all payables (invoices), including preparation of all Purchase Orders, ensuring full sign off (in DocuSign or hard copy) on a weekly basis.
    • Entry of all purchase orders into accounting software (bi-weekly for all POs paid via check; monthly for all non-check payments). Reconciliation for each check-run to ensure all Pos entered are also signed and saved to agency shared drive. Printing of all checks, ensuring sign-off from Executive Director (ED) or other designee, stuffing envelopes and ensuring they are mailed in a timely manner.
    • Preparation and submission of Washington County Income Vouchers (which could include SSI, Transportation, Food Pantry, Head Start Cleaning reimbursements).
    • Records income for Head Start Grant (Payment Management drawdowns), County vouchers (SSI, Transportation, Food Pantry, Head Start Cleaning).
    • Collect in-kind documentation from Career and Family Services, Head Start (ChildPlus reports), and any Board of Directors in-kind forms. Entering the in-kind into the Fund EZ accounting system on a quarterly basis at minimum.
    • Annually prepare and submit all 1099 forms for IRS compliance.
    • Management of Fixed Asset forms – at Acquisition, time of Transfer, and time of Disposition.

    Skills:

    • Adhere to the agency’s policy on confidentiality both within the Agency and community and adhere to all Agency and program policies and procedures
    • General Accounting knowledge and experience with accounting software.
    • Strong knowledge of Excel; at least an intermediate level of proficiency.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and reliably and ensure activities are completed to accomplish established objectives and outcomes
    • Ability to enter data or information accurately into appropriate databases.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Education and Experience:

    • Associate's Degree in accounting or related field and/or equivalent experience
    • General accounting knowledge and experience
    • An understanding of Not-for-Profit fiscal accounting
    • A valid driver's license and means of reliable transportation.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Sedentary work. The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
    • This position may require the person to frequently move about their assigned office and/or other L.E.A.P. centers
    • This position performs the essential functions in an indoor office setting.

    Job Type: Full-Time

    Pay: $22.35
