    About Us: The Park Theater Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Glens Falls community by providing a venue for quality and affordable entertainment and educational opportunities in the performing arts.

    Position Summary: The Theater Assistant will support the daily operations of The Park Theater, ensuring smooth event execution, high-quality patron experiences, and operational efficiency. This role involves working closely with the Executive Director, staff, volunteers, and performers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Event Support:

    • Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of events and performances.
    • Coordinate with performers, vendors, and technical staff to ensure event success.
    • Provide on-site support during events to address any issues promptly.

    2. Customer Service:

    • Greet patrons, assist with ticketing, and respond to inquiries.
    • Ensure a welcoming and safe environment for all guests.
    • Handle patron concerns and provide solutions in a courteous manner.

    3. Administrative Support:

    • Assist with ticket sales, event scheduling, and communications.
    • Maintain accurate records of events, ticket sales, and customer feedback.
    • Support marketing efforts through flyer distribution, and outreach.

    4. Facility Management:

    • Monitor venue cleanliness, safety, and readiness for events.
    • Assist with basic maintenance tasks or coordinate with external vendors as needed.

    5. Volunteer Coordination:

    • Support the recruitment, training, and scheduling of volunteers.
    • Provide guidance and oversight during events to ensure effective volunteer engagement.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Customer service experience, preferably in an event or theater setting.
    • Basic knowledge of event planning and logistics.
    • Familiarity with ticketing software and social media platforms.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Passion for the performing arts and community engagement.

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $19.32 - $21.07 per hour

    Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

    Ability to Relocate:

    • Glens Falls, NY 12801: Relocate before starting work (Required)
