Crew Chief

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Crew Chief to join our team. The Crew Chief will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of a crew, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications.
 
Responsibilities:
●     Communicate with clients in a professional manner
●     Complete each assigned task in a timely fashion, by the completion date of the project
●     3-5 years of land surveying experience
●     Must have a clean and valid drivers license
●     Be able to carry a 35 lbs pack with equipment attached
●     Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is desirable
●     Proficiency with Leica, various methods of GS data collection, Trimble Robotic Total Stations or other survey related equipment
●     Demonstrate strong leadership skills and ability to train/mentor junior staff
●     Field work will include: supervising the work/daily activities of Instrument Operators, leading/directing Instrument Operators, as well as operating survey instruments, recording survey measurements into data collection instruments and utilizing time management on every jobsite
●     Ability to operate survey equipment/instruments designed for both 1 & 2 person field crews
●    Office work will include: caring/maintaining company equipment, keeping and maintaining project folders and all other related materials that pertain to projects, ensuring that company vehicles are clean and up to date on maintenance
●    Drive a company vehicle to and from job sites and practice safe driving methods that comply with the company vehicle policy
 
 
Qualifications:
●    Proven experience in a supervisory role
●    Strong data collection and analysis skills
●    3-5 years of land surveying experience
●    Clean and valid drivers license Required
●    Be able to carry a 35 lbs pack with equipment attached
●    Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is desirable
●    Proficiency with Leica, various methods of GPS data collection, Trimble Robotic Total Stations or other survey related equipment
●    Demonstrate strong leadership skills
●    Ability to build strong working relationships with team members
●    Excellent communication and leadership abilities
