Checon, LLC, a division of Alloy Holdings, LLC is current recruiting for a Metal Casting Operator at our Glens Falls, NY location. This position handles the operation of induction furnaces and continuous casters used in industry to produce quality metal castings and parts. You will work as part of a team, collaborating with other operators and skilled workers.

Essential Job Duties Include:

• Operating and monitoring production equipment and processes to ensure that they are working properly and adjust as needed.
• Cleaning casting molds, furnaces, and other equipment used in the casting process.
• Inspecting molds and dies to make sure they are free of defects.
• Using hand tools, power tools, and operating saws.
• Operating cranes and forklifts to move raw materials and finished products.
• Monitoring furnace temperatures for variations.
• Maintaining work orders on both production router and/or in ERP systems.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well organize workspace.
• Supporting a safety culture by following all safety rules.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED Required.
• Experience in heavy machine operation within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent mechanical and logical thinking, able to do simple maintenance and repairs.
• Attention to detail; Ability to read and record data accurately as required.
• Organized, self-structured, self-driven.
• Practical approach, straightforward and communicative.

Physical Requirements/Safety:

• Ability to tolerate high temperatures in the work environment.
• Ability to obtain respirator clearance.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
