• Crandall Public Library Folklife Center awarded 2024 Director's Award

The Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership has named the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library the winner of its 2024 Director's Award, stating in part: "The Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library utilized a 2023 CVNHP Special Project grant to develop 27 high-quality video segments interpreting the Champlain Canal during its bicentennial year. This outstanding work complements the previous successes of the Folklife Center to showcase and highlight the Battenkill River and Lake George. These projects collectively encourage a broader appreciation and better understanding of the interconnected waterways of the national heritage area. Your efforts and artistry are greatly appreciated."

Representatives of the CVNHP—which has awarded $2.3 million in National Park Service grants since 2008— presented the award at the library's November board meeting.1
